Victor Antone new Chief Judge

Victor Antone, District 4, won the election for Chief Judge on Feb. 9, and the results were certified at the second regular monthly meeting of the Community Council on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

 

Antone defeated Donna Kisto-Jones and former Chief Judge Anthony J. Hill.

 

Antone’s 38.49 percent of the vote surpassed Kisto-Jones’s 34.03 percent and Hill’s 24.97 percent.

 

Of the 717 total ballots cast overall, 276 voted for Antone, 244 voted for Kisto-Jones and 179 voted for Hill. Write-in candidates received 18 votes.

 

Ballots were open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a polling site in each district.

 

District 3 had the largest voter turnout with 144 total ballots cast, followed by District 5 at 120 and District 6 at 118.

 

Antone was raised in Upper San Tan and currently resides in San Tan (Gila Buttes) with his wife Lt. Gov. Monica Antone, two step daughters and grandchildren.
