July 8-14, 2018

District One (Blackwater):

 Theft – Reporting party called dispatch requesting an officer in reference to someone one stealing metal gates. Contact was made with the reporting party who stated the victim’s residence was unoccupied due to the homeowner being in a caring facility. The reporting party stated that the metal gates were removed with tools due to being bolted into the walls, no one was observed removing the property. No other items were taken from the residence. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

District Two (Sacaton Flats): 

No Incidents Involving Part 1 Crime

 

District Three (Sacaton):

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic dispute in progress. The victim was located in the residence and stated that the suspect did not want the victim leaving the residence and refused to let her go. A verbal altercation turned physical and the suspect “choked” the victim obstructing the airway. The suspect admitted to assaulting the victim and was arrested.  

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into jail

 

Burglary – Officers responded to a residence in reference to a gas leak. GRFD advised the gas line was cut with tree hedge trimmers (loppers) and is what caused the leak. Further investigation revealed the home was being burglarized for the remaining copper piping, wire and metallic roofing materials. The home was boarded up and potential suspects are being reviewed at this time.

District Four (Stotonic Area): 

Burglary – While on patrol a boarded up house was observed to have been broken into; the board covering the bedroom window was broken in half and lying on the ground outside of the window. While waiting for officers to arrive to clear the residence a shoe impression was observed inside the bedroom. On the exterior check of the residence wiring from the circuit breaker box was observed to be missing. During the protective sweep of the interior area of the residence the same shoe impression was located throughout the residence and the attic was broken into with the wiring to the furnace was also missing.  

Status:  Under investigation

 

Theft – Officers were dispatched to the residence in reference to a theft of a flat bed two wheeled trailer with a white dodge Dakota truck bed on top of the trailer. The victim stated both items were on her property when she left that morning. Upon returning home the items were missing and there did not know who would have taken the items.

District Four (Lone Butte Area): 

Robbery – The victim gave a ride to a male subject who was known to him. When they stopped the car, the passenger demanded the victim’s phone charger and other property. The suspect then threatened to kill the victim and his entire family if he reported the robbery to the Police. The victim contacted GRPD and the suspect was arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of Robbery. 

Status: Suspect was arrested

 

Theft (Shoplifting) – The suspect committed shoplifting by concealing unpaid merchandise inside of a shopping bag and exiting a store at the Phoenix Premium Outlets without paying for the item. The suspect then re-entered the store and set off the alarm at which point contact was made by store employees. A search of the bag was conducted and the unpaid item was located. The suspect admitted to taking the item and it was returned. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into DRS. 

Status:  Suspect was arrested and booked into jail

 

District Five (Casa Blanca):

No Incidents Involving Part 1 Crime

 

District Six (Komatke):

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to the area of 51st Ave and Pecos Rd in reference to a subject standing in the roadway pointing a gun. Contact was made with the victim who advised the suspect pointed a black handgun at her as she drove past him. Officers located the subject at a residence matching the description provided by the victim. Officers also located a handgun near the area the suspect was located. The suspect advised he had the gun in his waist band and pointed it at the vehicle because it almost ran him over. The suspect was arrested and booked into DRS for aggravated assault. 

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into jail

 

District Seven (Maricopa):

District Two (Sacaton Flats): 

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to an aggravated assault. The suspect pointed a loaded assault rifle at the victim during a verbal altercation. The suspect fled from the residence with the loaded rifle when officers arrived on scene. A foot pursuit did occur though the officers lost sight of the fleeing suspect. Ammunition and a machete were located during the search of the residence.

District Three (Sacaton):

District Four (Stotonic Area):

Aggravated Assault– Officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to an aggravated assault. The reporting party stated a male pointed a handgun at her granddaughter. Upon officer arrival, contact was made with the reporting party and the victim. The victim stated she was exercising in the yard when a vehicle approached. The driver got out of the vehicle and asked her if she knew a certain male that the suspect named. The victim advised the suspect, it was a family member. The suspect proceeded to pull out a weapon and then pointed the gun at the victim.

District Four (Lone Butte Area): 

Theft (Shoplifting) – Officers were dispatched to a store in the Phoenix Premium Outlets in reference to a female leaving the store without paying for merchandise. Contact was made with a store employee who stated the female entered the store and began shopping. When the suspect’s daughter handed the suspect a pair of sandals and the suspect put them in her purse. The suspect then proceeded to the register to pay for a shirt the daughter had in her hands. Once the shirt was paid for the family proceeded to walk out of the store when the alarms sounded. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

Theft – Officers were dispatched to a store at the Phoenix Premium Outlet Mall in reference to a theft. Contact was made with the store employee who stated that two black in color Rawling’s Golden Gloves were taken by a male suspect. The video surveillance captured the suspect taking the two gloves from the glass case and placing them into his backpack. The suspect is then viewed walking out of the store without paying for the merchandise.

Theft – Officers were dispatched to the Best Western Hotel in reference to a theft. Upon making contact with the victim, they were advised he had been working at the hotel when his vehicle alarm sounded. Due to the alarm being so sensitive he used his keyless remote to turn off the alarm. When it was time to leave for the day he noticed his rear compartment storage container was open and he was missing tools.

District Five (Casa Blanca):

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to the area in reference to a male subject that was hit in the head with a bat. Contact was made with the victim who stated that during the night he was at a residence where the suspect began a verbal altercation him. The victim stated he attempted to walk away but the suspect followed. As he was walking away from the suspect, they proceeded to strike the victim in the back of the head with a baseball bat. The victim was transported to an area hospital for further medical attention.

Theft – Officers were dispatched to a rural area in reference to a burglary. Contact was made with a contracting company who reported unknown subject(s) entered a fenced commercial yard and opened the company’s forklift compartment lid and removed a battery and fuel canister. Evidence was collected and being processed for leads.

District Six (Komatke):

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to the area of 51st Ave and the Komatke intersection in reference to a domestic in progress. Officers were unable to locate any parties involved until a 911 call came in advising the reporting party had picked up the victim. The victim was taken to a local hospital where officers met with them and conducted an interview. The victim had bruising and swelling throughout the entire body as well as puncture wounds.   

Status: Under investigation

 

District Seven (Maricopa): 

Theft – A firearm was taken from a residence after the homeowner was away for a length of time. The victim stated the firearm was placed in a very distinct area of the bedroom and upon returning to the residence they were now unable to locate the firearm.
