On Friday, Sept.7, the Huhugam Heritage Center (HHC) hosted a “chalk art” themed event featuring O’odham artists who demonstrated their art on the walls of the entrance of the building while crafts and art vendors lined the sides for an evening of outdoor fun, food, and games for the whole family. Featured artists from the Community included: Melissa Yazzie, Tiffany Enos and Paul Molina.

Games for both children and adults included: water balloon toss, races, musical chairs and even a game of Family Feud. Brothers Anthony and Joseph Davis from District 5 served as MC’s for the evening, facilitating the games and keeping the fun going.

The Huhugam Heritage Center has been closed due to construction on their exhibit space that will be completed next year. During this time the Center has and will continue to host programs and events both on and off-site during the closure.
