Pony Express visits for O’odham Tash

The Casa Grande Cowboy Days and O’odham Tash is happening this weekend. Last week, cowboys and cowgirls of the Casa Grande O’odham Tash Pony Express rode into town on horseback to deliver an invitation to the Gila River Indian Community.

The O’odham Tash Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 and the Toka Tournament begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19. The Rodeo is going on all week through Feb. 26 and the carnival is open at 2:00 p.m. daily through Feb. 26.

Charlotte McGrew, Founder and Chairman of the Casa Grande O’odham Tash Pony Express Riders, delivered the invitation to Diana Antone, who accepted on behalf of the GRIC Executive Office.
