The winners of the 2018 Community Council Election, held on May 1, were sworn in during the First Regular Monthly Meeting of the Community Council at the Governance Center in Sacaton on June 6.

Council Representatives Arzie Hogg, District 1, Anthony “Chris” Villareal Sr., District 6, Monica Antone, District 4, and Thomas R. White, District 5, each took the oath office to begin their terms.

Hogg and Villareal maintained their seats following their reelection. Antone, who previously served as lieutenant governor, joins District 4 representatives Jennifer Allison, Pamela Johnson and Barney Enos Jr. Antone returns in the District 4 seat previously held by Nada Celaya.

White, former Gila River Indian Community governor, will now serve in District 5 following his victory over Franklin Pablo Sr.

Chief Judge Donna Kisto-Jones administered the oaths for Hogg, Antone and White. Associate Judge Anthony Hill officiated the swearing in for Villareal.

Each representative was joined by family members for the proceedings followed by a reception of cake and refreshments in the Council Chambers lobby.
