October 07-13, 2018

District One- (Blackwater)

Theft– The victim notified Police when they returned home to find they were missing some miscellaneous items along with a computer. The victim had been away from the home for awhile and was just getting back. 

Status: Under investigation 

 

District Two (Sacaton Flats): 

No Incidents Involving Part 1 Crime

 

District Three (Sacaton):

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to the hospital in reference to the victim being struck multiple times with a machete type weapon. The victim was treated at HuHuKam Hospital for their injuries. The victim stated the suspect was calling him a different name during the time of the attack. A person of interest has been identified and a follow up will be conducted. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

Aggravated Assault– Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call. The incident resulted in the victim suffering potentially life threatening injuries due to gunshot wounds. The officers were able to determine the identity of the suspect as well as a potential witness. Officers were unable to locate the suspect and witness during the investigation.  

Status: Under Investigation

 

Aggravated Assault– Officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to an assault. The investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted in the residence. The suspect had kicked, punched and stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Status: Under Investigation

 

District Four (Stotonic Area): 

Aggravated Assault – The reporting party advised that their nephew came to the house after being stabbed. The investigation revealed the victim had been stabbed on the ear and in the back of the neck. Officers were able to determine a possible suspect and the victim was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

District Four (Lone Butte Area): 

Auto Theft- While at work the victim stated an unknown subject took a Ford F-250 without permission. The vehicle belonged to a family member that was out of town. The victim recently became employed with the Sheraton Resort and was parked in the employee parking lot. The vehicle was gone at the end of the victim’s shift. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

Auto Theft- The victim called law enforcement to report a theft of a vehicle. The investigation revealed the victim parked his 1995 Ford F-150 truck in the early morning hours at Love’s Truck Stop parking lot. When they returned late in the afternoon to retrieve the vehicle it was discovered it had been stolen. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Theft (Shoplifting) – Two subjects shoplifted items from a store in the Phoenix Premium Outlets. The two male subjects had entered the store and walked to a table. The subjects grabbed items from the table and ran out of the store without paying. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

Theft (Shoplifting) - While at the Chevron Gas Station female took ten baseball caps from the display and walked out without attempting to pay for the merchandise. The female subject entered a black sedan and left the property. Video surveillance is pending review to identify the suspect and vehicle the suspect left the premises in. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

Theft (Shoplifting) - Officers were dispatched to a store at the Phoenix Premium Outlet. The investigation revealed a male suspect entered the store with two other males. While two of the subjects appeared to watch the area, the other placed clothing under his own. As the males left the store the anti theft alarms were activated. Officers attempted to locate the suspects in the shopping Outlet area but yielded negative results.

Theft- Officers were dispatched to the Lone Butte Chevron Trading Post. Employees stated a male and female subject had stolen merchandise and left the area in a blue sedan. The female had placed the items in her shorts and used her sweater to cover the bulges. Video surveillance is pending to identify the subjects and the vehicle they left the premises in.

Theft- While at an event at the Rawhide facility the victim reported an iPhone as missing. The victim attempted to locate the phone for a couple of days. A stolen affidavit was filled out and the phone was listed as being stolen. 

Status: Under investigation

 

Theft- Officers responded to Lone Butte Casino in reference to a reported theft. Further investigation revealed a cell phone was taken from a charging station without the owner’s consent. The suspect’s information was obtained and Officers will be conducting follow up.

District Five (Casa Blanca):

Aggravated Assault – Officers were dispatched to a domestic in progress. The suspect was arrested and booked for assaulting the victim. The suspect had possession of a screw driver and had made motions as if trying to stab the victim. 

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into jail

 

Burglary– The suspects committed burglary while the victim was away from the residence. The investigation revealed the victim’s residence was left unattended while they had stayed with family off the Community. Two male subjects were observed arriving in a red truck and forced their way inside the residence by kicking the back door open. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

District Six (Komatke):

Burglary – Officers were dispatched to an abandoned residence where the suspects committed burglary by forcing entry into a storage room located within the carport area. Copper wire was exposed where someone had cut and removed. Photos were taken of the damages as well as the graffiti throughout the residence.  

Status: Under Investigation

 

District Seven (Maricopa): 

Aggravated Assault – Officers responded to a shot fired call due to a male coming out of a house and firing in their direction. The investigation revealed the victims were parked on the side of the road on Baseline and 87th Ave taking photographs. While victims were taking photographs the suspect fired a single shot after yelling at the victims about being parked there. All three victims advised they were in fear for their lives to the point where they took cover behind the vehicle. There were no injuries reported and the rifle used was seized for evidence and booked into evidence. The suspect was booked into DRS. 

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into jail

 

Incident Log October 14, 2018 – October 20, 2018

Gila River Police officers responded to 553 calls for service and made 55 arrests.

 

District One:

Theft – The suspect stole paperwork belonging to the victim while at the victim’s residence. The victim realized the documents were missing several days later and reported the incident to law enforcement.

Status: Under investigation.

 

District Two: 

Robbery – The suspect knocked on the front door of the victim’s residence and then forced entry by pushing past the victim. Upon entering the residence the suspect proceeded to pick up food items and then attempted to leave the residence. The victim stepped in front of the suspect in an attempt to prevent him from stealing the items. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground causing abrasions and swelling to their arm and back. The suspect fled the residence prior to police arrival. Officers responded to the area and located the suspect along with the stolen item.

Status: Suspect was arrested.

 

District Three:

Aggravated Assault – The suspect put a handgun to the victim’s neck and threatened her. The suspect ordered the victim to retrieve their backpack which they did and placed it outside of the residence. As the suspect walked out the door to retrieve their backpack the victim locked the suspect out. The suspect then fired two rounds into the front of the residence which caused damage to the house along with items in the house. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was unable to be located by law enforcement.

Status: Suspect has been identified and Police are conducting follow up.

 

Burglary – Suspect(s) forced entry into an office building by breaking a window to gain access. The victim arrived at his office the following day to discover the office had been broken into and a number of items had been taken. The victim contacted law enforcement and officers responded to investigate the incident.

Status: Under investigation.

 

Burglary – Suspect(s) unlawfully entered the Sacaton Elementary School triggering the security alarm. The Police Department was contacted and advised of the active alarm. Officers responded and checked the campus but could not locate any subjects in the area. The following morning the victim contacted law enforcement and advised when she entered the classrooms she observed several items scattered on the floor. 

Status: Under investigation.

 

District Four:

(Stotonic Area)

Aggravated Assault – The suspect assaulted the victim by punching her on the head after an argument. The suspect then grabbed a trash bag and placed it over the victim’s head while placing a machete against the victim’s neck. The suspect released the victim who was ultimately able to flee and contact law enforcement. The suspect fled the scene in a white and grey vehicle prior to police arrival. The victim suffered no life threatening injuries and refused medical treatment.

Status: Suspect has been identified and Police are conducting follow up.

Theft - Suspect(s) walked up to the victim’s back porch and took a brown and white pit bull puppy. The victim contacted law enforcement and officers responded to investigate the incident. The suspect was not located and gone prior to police arrival.

Status: Under investigation.

 

(Lone Butte / WHP Area) 

Auto Theft – Suspect(s) stole the victims’ beige vehicle after she left her vehicle at the Loves Truck Stop. Gila River Police Department was contacted and officers responded to investigate the incident.

Status: Under investigation.

 

Shoplifting – The suspect entered a store within the Phoenix Premium Outlets and concealed several items on his person before exiting the store without paying for the merchandise. Law enforcement was contacted and officers responded to the area. The suspect was later located by officers at a nearby gas station.

Status: Suspect was arrested.

 

Shoplifting – The suspect entered a store within the Phoenix Premium Outlets and concealed a t-shirt on his person. The suspect then exited the store without paying for the merchandise. Law enforcement was contacted and officers responded to the area. 

Status: Under investigation.

 

Theft – The suspect, while at a store within the Phoenix Premium Outlets picked up the victim’s Lane Bryant shopping bag which had been left on the checkout counter. The victim was advised by a store employee that another woman had taken the bag as she assumed it was hers. The victim contacted law enforcement several hours later after she had left the property.

Status: Under investigation.

 

Theft – The victim, while at the Wild Horse Pass Casino, cashed out but forgot the voucher when they moved from one slot machine to another. The suspect approached the machine, grabbed the voucher and left the property. The victim, upon realizing their mistake, returned to find the voucher had been taken and notified casino security. Law enforcement was notified and officers responded to investigate the incident.

Status: Under investigation.

 

District Five:

Aggravated Assault – The suspect and victim were involved in a verbal domestic dispute when it escalated and became physical. The suspect threw a radio in the victim’s direction striking her in the face and fractured her nose. Law enforcement was contacted and officers responded to the residence.

Status: Suspect was arrested and booked into Jail.

 

Theft – Suspects committed theft by taking the electronics from the victim’s residence. Witnesses stated the items were taken out of a bedroom window which the suspects had been occupying. The Gila River Police Department was notified and officers responded to investigate the incident. 

Status: Under Investigation

 

Theft - Suspect(s) stole temporary chain link panels belonging to All Pro Fencing out of Mesa, Arizona that were securing a new build site located in District Five. An employee of the company arrived to work and noticed the fence missing. Gila River Police Department was notified and officers responded to investigate the incident.

Status: Under investigation.

 

District Six:

Aggravated Assault – The suspect struck the victim with a coffee mug, along with other items causing a laceration to the victim’s forehead. During the assault, the suspect stated “I hope you die” to the victim and told another individual at the residence your next. A third victim was present during the incident, causing him to become frightened for his and his sister’s safety. One individual was transported by paramedics to a local trauma hospital for treatment of their injuries.
