Gila River Police officers responded to 692 calls for service and made 24 arrests.

 

District One- (Blackwater)

No Part 1 incidents

 

District Two – (Sacaton Flats) 

Burglary – Suspect forced entry through the front door of the victim’s residence causing criminal damage. The victim was inside the residence at the time of the break-in. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to the incident in progress. The suspect stole the victim’s cell phone and fled the residence. Officers arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody. The victim was not injured and the cell phone was returned.

Status: Suspect was arrested.

 

District Three- (Sacaton)

Theft – Suspect(s) committed theft by taking a trailer loaded with wood boards without the owner’s consent from a property located at RG Farms. Employees notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.

Status: Under investigation

 

Theft – Suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and stole the victim’s motor vehicle title from the glove compartment. The victim notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.

Status: Under investigation

 

District Four- 

Stotonic Area – 

Aggravated Assault – Suspect and victim were involved in a verbal domestic incident when it escalated and the suspect stabbed the victim. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to the incident in progress. Gila River Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to a local trauma hospital for further treatment. Officers located and detained the suspect. Status: Suspect was arrested.

 

Aggravated Assault – The suspect threatened the victim with a handgun, placing him in reasonable apprehension of immediate physical injury. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident. The suspect was gone prior to officers arrival. Status: Charges forwarded to the Prosecutor’s office.

 

Aggravated Assault - Suspect and victim were involved in a verbal domestic incident when it escalated into a physical altercation. The suspect struck the victim several times and caused severe injury. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to the incident in progress. Gila River Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to a local trauma hospital for further treatment. Officers located and detained the suspect. Status: Suspect was arrested.

 

Theft – Suspect(s) stole the victim’s white Christmas tree from the victim’s property while the residents were away from the home. The victim notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident. Status: Under investigation

 

Theft - Suspect(s) stole the victim’s mini refrigerator while the victim was away from the home. The victim notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident. Status: Under investigation

 

Auto Theft – Suspect(s) stole the victim’s vehicle while she was away from her residence. A concerned third party informed the victim of her vehicle missing. The victim notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.

Lone Butte Area 

Shoplifting – The suspect entered Love’s Truck Stop, concealed merchandise, and left past the point of sale without paying for the items. Employees notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.
Status: Under investigation 

 

Theft – Suspect(s) broke the passenger window of a vehicle in the parking lot of the Lone Butte Casino, and stole the victim’s purse from the car. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.
Status: Under investigation 

 

Theft – Suspect(s) broke into several vehicles in a parking lot, and stole several items from the cars. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident. 
Status: Under investigation

 

Theft – The suspect stole the victim’s cell phone from a charging station while at the Lone Butte Casino. Casino Security notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.
Status: Under investigation 

 

Theft – The suspect stole the victim’s debit card from an ATM machine while in Casino. Upon discovering the debit card missing the victim notified security. Casino Security notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.

District Five – (Casa Blanca)

No Part 1 Incidents

 

 

District Six – (Komatke)

Theft – Suspect(s) stole the victim’s wallet while inside the casino. Upon discovering the wallet missing the victim notified security. Casino Security notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.
Status: Under investigation

 

Theft – Suspect(s) stole a video game belonging to the victim while they were inside the victim’s residence. The victim discovered the property was missing after the suspect(s) left her home. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident. 
Status: Under investigation

 

Theft – Suspect(s) stole the victim’s purse, after it fell to the floor during an unrelated physical altercation, and promptly fled the casino property. The victim reported the theft to security. Casino Security notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.
Status: Under investigation

 

Theft – The suspect broke into the victim’s 2002 Ford SUV, and stole money from within the vehicle, as well as damaging the steering column. The victim promptly notified security of the theft and damage. Casino Security notified law enforcement and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident.

Status: Charges forwarded to the Maricopa County Prosecutor’s office.

 

Auto Theft – The suspect took the victim’s vehicle from her residence without her knowledge or consent. Upon discovering the vehicle missing, the victim demanded the suspect return the vehicle to which the suspect refused. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to investigate the incident. The vehicle was later located and returned to the victim.

Status: Charges forwarded to the Prosecutor’s office.

 

District Seven – (Maricopa) 

Aggravated Assault – Suspect and victim were involved in a physical altercation when the suspect struck the victim in the head with a piece of firewood. The victim fell to the ground and injured his leg. Law enforcement was notified and Gila River police officers responded to the residence. Gila River Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to a local trauma hospital for further treatment. The suspect was located and apprehended.
Status: Suspect was arrested.
