The Christmas spirit was definitely in the air on Dec. 12 at the Sacaton Middle School gymnasium for Sacaton Elementary School’s Holiday Arts & Crafts Family Night. With holiday decorations adorning the gym, and staff members dressed in fun Christmas-themed clothes, December’s family night brought large numbers of families and students to the school for a holly, jolly good time.
Along with students and families, Gov. Stephen Roe Lewis gave remarks as well as District 3 Community Council Representative Joseph Manuel Jr. Raffles, contests and special presentations continued through the evening until the holiday concluded around 6:30 p.m.
Old St. Nick and the lovable Grinch also appeared spreading cheer and mingling with wide-eyed students while Christmas music played throughout the night.
